Hump Day Hottie

This weeks Hump Day Hottie was born on January 30, 1974 in Pembrokeshire, Wales and spent his childhood in the UK, Portugal and the United States.
His mother was a circus performer.
He is known for his versatility mimicking nearly any English-based accent.
He has endured harsh regimens of shedding and gaining weight for roles that he plays.
He first caught the public eye at the age of 13 when he played a British who becomes separated from his parents and finds himself in a Japanese internment camp during WWII.
He has portrayed a wide range of characters and has an abnormally large cult following on the internet.
He has been voted ad one of the “Top 8 Most Powerful Cult Figures of the Past Decade” and “Most Creative People in Entertainment” by Entertainment Weekly.
He is intensely private and although he had a daughter in 2003 with his wife, Sibi Blazic, he has never publicly divulged her name.
Some of the films that this weeks Hump Day Hottie has appeared in are Empire Of The Sun, Newsies, Swing Kids, Little Women, Metroland and many others.
He is best known for portraying Patrick Bateman in American Psycho and achieved phenomenal success as the most recent Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman Returns.

Yeah!!!!!!!! I LOVE Christian Bale! He's definitely a hottie. I'd totally do him.

I loved him in "Little Women" and the most recent "Batman", and I was flipping through the channels recently when I came across "Empire of the Sun" and realized he was the boy.

My, you have excellent taste in men. Again, another fine choice. My wife has t.h.o. for this guy and I can't blame her. I watched The New World last night and you could barely pick him out, he's that good at changing his appearance. He's got one of the best American accents out there.

Love your new profile photo! I have just purchased my own computer for home, so I will be able to blog some more soon and check your blog more often from now on!!

He scared the bejeebers out of me when he did "American Psycho."

And you do know he's Gloria Steinem's stepson, right? How cool is that!

Playtah ~ I haven't seen him in most of those films but he was yumalicious in Batman.

Tara ~ I had no idea that he was in that movie until I researched him.

Dennis ~ You can suggest anything you want. Good luck on getting it :)

Egan ~ Thank You! What is t.h.o.?
If you see the machinist you won't recognize him. He lost 60 pounds for that and was skeletal.

Erica ~ Yay...I am glad that you have a computer at home now. Thanks for the compliment.

Beth ~ I can't watch scary movies. they give me nightmares. But I love Christian Bale enough that I might consider watching that one.
I didn't know that he was Gloria Steinem's step son. Thanks for that tidbit.

Less controversial than Christine Baranski, for sure!

I didn't know he was in Empire of the Sun either. Now, I feel a little more like a creepy old lady thinking he's hot...But I can get over that.

I did not know he was the kid in Empire of the sun. That's great. I loved that kid.

American Psycho creeped me out as a book, so I never saw the movie.

He makes an awesome young Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Awww, this whole thing is making me miss A1 steak sauce.

Maybe you can satisfy Dennis with an old picture of Renee Richards, or an even older one of Christine Jorgenson.

And there's always Jamie Liegh Curtis, if the rumors are true.

Oooohh Christian Bale! Good one, Rachel! I could not believe the way he looked in The Machinist. That was scary and not hot.

I have seen The Machinist too. Man was he ever paper thin. It was borderline hard to watch him in that role. Titty Hard On. Enough said.

So do tell us how "300" was. Oops. Sorry, that's off topic. I mean tell us about the movie 300 which didn't have Christian Bale in it :)

dmarks ~ She wasn't the most controversial.

Churlita ~ He is definitely grown up now so no robbing the cradle guilt is necessary.

David In D.C. ~ Dennis harasses me all the time at work to post women. I told him today that if he complained one more time that I wouldn't post another woman for 2 months...

babybull40 ~ There are a lot of movies that he is in that I haven't seen. I have a list of them that I must rent ~ when I get a new DVD player. Mine went kaput.

l.b. ~ I have seen photos but I haven't seen the actual movie. The photos are really creepy.

egan ~ He lost over 60 pounds to play that role. That is a TON for someone who isn't heavy. Thanks for the explanation.

dmarks ~ 300 was FANTASTIC!!! It was soooo good. One thing that was pretty cool was that the blood that sprayed all over the place (it was gory) was in a cartoonish form and would disappear when it hit the ground like in a video game. I would totally recommend this movie to anyone who liked Gladiator or any kind of war movie. Also someone who likes video games would enjoy it as well.

Yay! Wonderful eye candy
