Five Things

1. I should never be set loose in Target when I am really upset and have an empty credit card. Two DVD players, a few videos, a TiVo & 1 year TiVo service later I no longer have an empty credit card.

2. I met a really cool guy yesterday at my friend Rico's house for Soul Food Sunday. His name is Daniel and he is Rico's straight hair stylist. We bonded over hair and pandora.com . I guess that he asked Rico about me too. Apparently there is some interest on both sides. (grin) No exchange of phone numbers yet but we did talk about him highlighting my hair so we shall see what happens.

3. D has asked me to use his full name on my blog so from now on I will refer to him by his Christian name ~ Devon.

4. Devon and I are almost finished with the second Harry Potter book. We already have the cd's for the third one. I don't know who is more excited, me or Devon.

5. Funny Girl will be in North Carolina for work for the next month. This will be the longest time that we will go without seeing each other since we met 4½ years ago. I miss her already.

Sounds to me like a perfect reason to take a trip to the Outer Banks. Its worth it.

I shouldn't be let loose in any store right after payday. My apartment needed a bit of a Spring makeover, so I went to three places and bought lots of cool stuff for the livingroom and bathroom. It was pricey, but fun.

Devon is a great name!

Oh yeah. Target is dangerous.

Good for you on the new love interest. I highly recommend a hot guy in the Springtime. They are the perfect accessory, and they go with anything. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I can find ways to make Target destructive even if my credit card is almost maxed out, so I hear ya!

babybull40 aka Alissa ~ I love your name!

Playtah ~ I can't wait to see the answers to your interview questions.

Eric ~ If I had time or money I would do it in a second. But both are a hindrance.

Tara ~ It was bad. I had an F-k it attitude at the time and didn't really care about the consequences. Good thing I stayed out of other areas of the store. I went in to get replacement blinds to replace the ones that my cat has ruined.
I like his name too.

Churlita ~ Crazy thing is that I am not a huge fan of Target. I can wander through there and not find one thing to buy.
I guess that Daniel called Rico this morning to thank him for dinner and he brought my name up in the conversation and said that he had a great time talking with me....hehe

Hilly ~ Get me in a store with high quality make-up and shoes and I am all over it.
I can't buy shoes at target because they don't have wide width. Bastards!

Maybe good news on Daniel there, and maybe many good hair days in your future!

Target... Oh how I love Target and miss having one close... Manhattan is nice, but you have to go to Brooklyn or the Bronx or Queens to get to a Target....Boohhoooohoooo.

I'm all for stragight guys who are into hair. Two in one, baby!!

Over here on the left coast, I pronouce it Tarjhay with a French accent. I am not French but....well you get the idea. Kinda gives the place a frufru classy name. It's a fun place to shop, I look forward to their Sunday ads in the newspaper...always something to tempt ya.

Tivo is great. You will love being able to hop/skip and jump over the commercials, take a potty break when ya wanna, and never miss nuttin'.

Hope ya have a "good hair day" with this new guy. Sounds interesting and kinda romantic.

dmarks ~ Heck if all it gets me is some free highlights and a good friend I am cool with that too. It would be nice to explore something more than that but we will see what happens.

not so little woman ~ I am sure that having all of those really cool shops makes up for it a bit.
He told me that I have very nice hair too. I keep fantasizing about getting hair products for half off.

Moonbeam ~ Some people call it Tarjay out here too.
I haven't really used my TiVo yet. I have some stuff that recorded last night and today so I will probably be loving it tonight when I get home.
So far we have watched about 2/3 of a movie called Aquamarine and the movie United 93 on it.

Oh, Target. I have found that some are much better than others. I feel the same way about Wally-worlds. All we have in my wee little town is (sob) a K-Mart (came apart.) I travel to other towns for that kind of shopping fun. Sigh.

I really enjoyed browsing in Target when I was over in the US. Only bought tops and some CDs but could have gone a bit wild if I'd let myself even though we do have some stores that are similar.

And here's hoping the Daniel thing develops into something.

TiVo is the best thing ever. You will be so pleased with it. It has changed the way I watch tv forever. Best part is you can get up and do stuff without messing anything.

D...dddevon will enjoy it too.

Don't risk your hair going to a straight guy!

Kidding.

But seriously, I'm not sure that dating and getting highlights are a good mix. I mean, if your hair looks bad after he does something to it, that's going to start things off on the wrong foot. On the other hand, if he's just wonderful with the hair, and not so good on the dating front, then you have to decide if you're going to risk going to see him professionally after you've decided not to date him.

I don't know about this. Totally uncharted territory. Pick one or the other, not both.

I have a post coming up about what can go wrong with a hairstylist/barber. Since it is a Christine Baranski Friday entry, it won't be seen until Thursday evening.
