My roommates best friend is big into working out. He found out a month ago that I am on WW and have been losing weight and that I was starting to work out.
The past few weeks he asks me how I did for the week and is very supportive and tells me about new exercises that I can fit into my routine. It actually helps a lot.
Well, last week I lost 3 pounds and this week I lost 1.8 pounds and he acted all disappointed and wanted to know why I lost "only 1.8 pounds". I told him that it was still a loss and I am right on target. He wouldn't stop asking so I leaned over and said very loudly in his ear "Because I am on my period!!!"
He got so embarrassed and was back-pedaling so fast I couldn't help but laugh. I am all about the encouragement that he gives me, but it irritated me that he thought that 1.8 pounds wasn't much of a loss. I seriously almost smacked him.

Men & their lack of understanding... Great lesson!
I usually gain at least 5 pounds when I'm on my period, so I'm really impressed by you.
I wish men had to experience a period just once, so they would have some kind of understanding.
Well, you do know my bff is special dear. :)
way to tell him ;)
I'd have smacked him. . .
and then cried. So you did good
Haha..Serves him right, I'm so glad you shouted that in his ear! Maybe next time he'll think before he speaks. :D
It took me a couple of years to figure out RFB's code with her big sister on this topic.
They generally say something like: But I was kinda moody, you know, it's my "end of statement".
Just wanted to let you know that private eyes are watching where ever you go.
He was asking for that.
Found you via Egan. Great news about your weight loss. I did the program a few years back and lost 30 pounds. I think it's one of the best out there.
