Saying Goodbye

Nana is fading very fast.

She will probably pass within the next 2-3 days.

We are all here trying to prepare and saying our goodbyes.

I can't remember anything ever being this hard.

Devastation only skims the surface.

So sorry to hear that, Rachel. I will also keep you in my prayers. I know it may feel like little consolation, but remember that no matter how hard and sad death is, those who die are going to a better place, where there's no suffering and they will no longer be in pain.
Hang in there.

I don't think we're ever ready to lose the ones we love. But I'm asking Funny Girl's grandma Frances, who I absolutely adored and still miss, and my own grandfathers who have gone on long before I wanted them to....to keep their eyes open for her, and welcome her when she gets there. I just know they have a lot of fun in Heaven, bragging about their grandkids.

I am so glad you were able to get so healthy and happy while she was here to see it. She is undoubtedly proud of you, and loves you at least as much as you love her.

I wish I had better words of comfort, but I don't--all I can say is you have my sympathy and my prayers and my love.
